SAPAR provides a safe, trusting environment for pregnant and parenting students by offering smaller class sizes and individualized learning in a strong cohesive community. We emphasize healthy mother and child development through positive relationships while providing opportunities for empowerment and responsibility.
SAPAR is a transitional program allowing pregnant and parenting students of any age to learn prenatal care, childbirth and parenting skills while continuing their core curriculum in a non threatening environment. Daycare is located onsite and available for students who can afford tuition or qualify for county daycare funding.
Pregnant and/or parenting Middle and High School students.
Students looking for instruction in parenting, child development.
Talk to your school counselor, school social worker or nurse to see if SAPAR is right for you.
If you and your family agree, school staff will complete a referral form for SAPAR.
Before the beginning of each academic quarter, SAPAR staff will directly contact you for a tour and an interview.
If you are accepted, you will be enrolled at SAPAR for up to one year and no longer take classes at your school of residence.
